Mary the mother of Yeshua and Mary the beloved companion of Yeshua receive the news that he had been arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane, betrayed for 30 pieces of silver by one of his closest disciples and abandoned by ten of the other eleven. The two Mary’s rush to the courtyard of the High Priest where Yeshua was taken. They later learn that Yeshua is to be transferred to the home of Pilate. A series of many events happen and Yeshua is consequently falsely accused.
Arriving at the hilltop of Golgotha, they are pushed aside as the soldiers strip, nail and elevate Yeshua on the cross and other the victims as well.
The priests justify this execution as the crowd partakes in this bloody, regular form of entertainment. Many in the crowd were most probably present in many of Yeshua´s teachings and followed him, yet in that moment, nobody, not even the majority of the disciples wanted the powers at be to even know that they were close to Yeshua, let alone followed his teachings.
So what would have happened if the 2 Marys would have reacted like the rest of Yeshua´s close circle. Well, there would not have been a Resurrection, Ascension, a Pentecost or maybe even the teachings of Yeshua would not have continued. These 2 women carried the seed of Yeshua´s goodness, grace and ministry and continued to construct the Ministry of Yeshua Messiah. Mary Magdalene´s determination to go to Yeshua´s Tomb is a symbol of how we can overcome death and go into ascension. Mother Mary´s determination to again place the energetic essence of her son Yeshua in her Womb is what allows, through the moment of Pentecost, for Yeshua´s presence to continue in our memory and in our lives.
Yeshua, Mother Mary and Mary Magdalene were united in a pre-conception contract to come into the world together to radically shift our understanding of Alaha, of the Self, of Divine Union and of the Mission of our individual incarnation. The three represent the ‘female’ and ‘male’ faces of Alaha and they show us that the only way to stop the endless cycle of fear, separation, control, prejudice, xenophobia, violence, manipulation and warfare is by allowing the Female and Male faces of God to live within our hearts and to guide us. That which is born of heavenly Divine Union can only express, deliver, manifest and be Divine Union.
In Acts 1:13-14 we read that after the Ascension they went back to the city: “When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. Those present were Peter, John, James and Andrew; Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew; James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James. They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.”
So those who denied that they knew Yeshua were the ones who continued the "Church".
Mary Magdalene, Mother Mary and Yeshua come to us in this remembrance of the Sacrifice and Surrender. Let us remember that these three Holy Teachers are with us during these days of Easter. Let us honor Yeshua Christ Messiah as he is reborn in our hearts, and let us give thanks to Mary Magdalene and Mother Mary for their leadership, determination, commitment, truth and unconditional love.
